Nickerson Talent Solutions is actively seeking experienced F-16 Avionics / Electrical & Environmental (E&E) Technicians to support tactical aircraft maintenance operations in Mesa, AZ.

This position supports active F-16 fighter aircraft operations involving avionics troubleshooting, fault isolation, inspections, repairs, component replacement, wire harness maintenance, electrical and environmental systems support, and return-to-service activities in a fast-paced fighter aircraft environment.

We are seeking technicians with direct F-16 Avionics or Electrical & Environmental experience who can independently troubleshoot aircraft discrepancies, interpret Air Force Technical Orders, perform system diagnostics, and support operational readiness requirements.

This is NOT an entry-level avionics position.

Candidates with recent hands-on F-16 avionics, E&E, fighter aircraft troubleshooting, wire harness, connector, ECS, oxygen/environmental, power generation, and line replaceable unit experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Candidates should have recent hands-on fighter aircraft avionics, electrical, environmental, or tactical aircraft maintenance experience on one or more of the aircraft platforms listed above. Direct F-16 experience is strongly preferred.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
• Exceptions may be considered for candidates able to obtain an A&P License within 180 days of hire
• Minimum 4 years of direct F-16 Avionics or Electrical & Environmental (E&E) experience
• F-16 aircraft training required
• USAF 5-Level or equivalent experience required
• Progressive and documented experience in fighter aircraft maintenance environments
• Documented qualifications in related aircraft maintenance fields
• Working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and components on F-16 aircraft
• Experience with:
  • Aircraft Ground Handling
  • Aircraft Servicing
  • Minor Maintenance Activities
  • Maintenance Work Area Setup
• Strong troubleshooting, fault isolation, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work complex assignments requiring technical judgment and initiative
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be eligible for government security investigation and classified access requirements
• Ability to support domestic and international travel requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct F-16 Avionics experience
• Direct F-16 Electrical & Environmental (E&E) experience
• USAF 7-Level E&E or Avionics experience
• Advanced fighter aircraft troubleshooting experience
• Flightline and heavy maintenance experience
• Experience providing technical guidance, training, and OJT
• Associate Degree preferred
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent a plus
