Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description
As an Avionics Technician, you will be working on exciting projects involving aircraft such as the Hercules C130 and Citation, focusing on heavy modifications and interior upgrades. You will also contribute to off-aircraft support systems and larger component installations. Your expertise will be essential in fabricating avionics and electrical parts, adhering to manufacturing drawings, and ensuring compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and FAA Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble avionics and electrical parts according to manufacturing drawings and manuals.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Work within the quality system and SOPs to deliver products conforming to type design.
- Ensure installations meet SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Identify and resolve non-conformances and discrepancies efficiently.
- Plan and execute avionics installation projects accurately.
- Communicate effectively with peers and manufacturers.
- Utilize calibrated tools and maintain equipment regularly.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of installation experience on Hercules C130.
- Experience with landing gear installation and heavy maintenance.
- Ability to run comb and clamp harnesses.
- Previous experience with avionics and electrical systems on Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Bombardier, and Cessna.
- TCAA Approved Avionics or Accredited Avionics course.
- Strong familiarity with leading avionics brands (Garmin, Becker, Collins, Honeywell, COBHAM, Technisonic).
- Minimum two years of experience with maintenance and installation of aircraft avionics and related electrical systems.
- A&P license or AME E License.

Work Environment
You will be part of a team of 14 avionics technicians per shift, with the flexibility to work different schedules as needed. The workweek consists of 60 hours, with shifts from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and potential split shifts from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. Enjoy a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or ideally 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Accommodation is provided, and travel arrangements, including shuttle services, are managed for you.
