JOB SUMMARY:
To functional test and repair electrical, electronic, and communication systems during final assembly of
production aircraft.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Works from airplane orders, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, inspection records,
standard shop practices, oral and written instructions to functional test a variety of standard and
optional electrical and electronic systems under minimum supervision.
a. May remove or install components and wiring for systems such as radios, altimeters,
transponders, autopilots, automatic direction finders and weather radar.
b. Load system software and databases and configuring as required.
II. Functional test systems using a variety of standard test equipment such as resistance and
capacitance units, field strength meters, volt-ohmmeters, ammeter, oscilloscope.
III. Uses variety of hand tools to adjust or restore systems to proper operation according to accepted
shop procedures, engineering and inspection requirements.
IV. May guide or assist 3-5 employees with troubleshooting to resolution mechanical and electrical
systems.
V. Responsible for quality of own work.
VI. Performs other related duties as required.
