Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionAs an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and modification of General Aviation, Corporate, and Firefighting aircraft, including Challengers, Pilatus PC-12, King Airs, as well as modified DC-7s and MD80s used for firefighting. A key part of your role will involve updating analog systems to new Garmin systems across various aircraft. This contract role supports work during the winter season, with the potential to become a full-time position if desired.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings and blueprints of installation projects.
- Evaluate and execute the removal of components and equipment.
- Organize tools and equipment accordingly.
- Uninstall and install avionics components such as GPS, Comms, Nav, and new antennas.
- Install Garmin 650 systems.
- Troubleshoot and test to ensure functionality.
- Utilize knowledge of avionics software to run and test applications.
- Use interface programs to upload flight data.
Essential Skills- Experience in aircraft maintenance and avionics repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot and work with manuals.
- Proficiency in the installation of avionics systems.
- 5+ years of Avionics repair and installation experience.
- Experience using computers for basic data uploads and running avionics applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- FCC license preferred.
- A&P license preferred.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
