Job Description
As an Avionics Technician, you will engage in avionics troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications on the avionics and electrical systems of F/A-18 aircraft. Your primary focus will include upgrading radar packages and communications equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics troubleshooting and maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft.
- Install, repair, and modify avionics and electrical systems.
- Upgrade radar packages and communications equipment.
- Conduct fiber optic installations and maintenance.
- Work with schematics and electrical harnesses.
- Ensure operational level maintenance on aircraft systems.
Essential Skills- 5 - 7 years of depot/heavy maintenance experience on aircraft avionics, preferably on fighter jets.
- Experience with F-18 aircraft highly preferred.
- Proficiency in avionic troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation.
- Familiarity with avionics systems and electrical schematics.
- Eligibility for SECRET clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Navy Ratings of AE or AT are highly preferred.
- Experience with NAV - magic box is highly preferred.
- Must be eligible for a Boeing badge (no terminations on record with Boeing).

Work Environment
The position requires flexibility to work on the 1st or 2nd shift. Work is primarily conducted inside a hangar or on the flightline, which is mostly protected from the elements but is not climate-controlled.

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
