Description

The Additive Manufacturing Engineer accelerates the technical and commercial traction of our core technologies and products. Designing 3D Printable technical product designs, within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.

Job Requirements:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Create efficient STL 3D print files

  2. Develop 3D printing processes that are manufacturing ready

  3. Create new products on our varied composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies.

  4. Test newly created products

  5. Test raw materials

  6. Document processing conditions. test results, and other critical-to-quality data

  7. Develop best practice SOP's, WI's, etc. for AM processes

  8. Assist in Quality System audits

  9. Research new 3D printable materials and leverage those materials into new technical products

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 


  • Working knowledge of all 3D Printing processes (existing and emerging)

  • 3D Slicing Expertise

  • Working knowledge of materials testing equipment

  • Eagerness to learn and explore advanced 3D composites, textile processes, and other AM processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective team player, with strong critical thinking skills

  • Working knowledge of: Solidworks, Rhino, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to create and read 3D Modeling, and convert to 3D Print files

  • Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant materials science discipline

  • 7-10years of prior relevant experience is required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Candidates with advanced degrees and Prior Military Service, in combination with experience, are encouraged to apply

  • Prior hands-on composite processing experience is a must.
