In your role, you will:

-
Develop state-of-the-art steady/unsteady structured and/or unstructured Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Aerodynamic Shape Optimization (ASO) methods, in conjunction with High Performance Computing (HPC) techniques;

-
Develop novel mesh generation, deformation and adaptation techniques, CAD-free and/or CAD-centered, compatible with in-house and/or commercially available grid generation packages;

-
Develop complex CFD workflows and integrate various tools to enable aircraft designs, perform multi-disciplinary optimizations, analyze aircraft performance and stability and control characteristics, and carry out aerodynamic loads calculations;

-
Develop aerodynamic configurations to meet design requirements, interact with external & internal customers & partners to define optimal aerodynamic configuration;

-
Produce estimates of external pressure distributions, aerodynamic loads and stability derivatives for specific Bombardier products and validate these results with experimental data;

Generate aerodynamic solutions using CFD software in support of Flight Sciences, Loads & Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Systems requirements. Your role will also include the liaison of activities with these engineering groups;

Perform wind-tunnel model loads estimations, prepare and participate in various tests, document the wind-tunnel results.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

-
You hold a Masters or a Ph.D. degree in Engineering with specialization in CFD

-
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in CFD development and aerodynamic applications

-
You have knowledge of compressible Navier-Stokes methods, external transonic aerodynamics, applied aerodynamics in the area of stability & control and aerodynamic loads calculations

-
You have knowledge of aerodynamic shape optimization techniques

-
You have knowledge of spatial discretization and time integration for partial differential equations, along with iterative methods for solving systems of linear equations

-
You have knowledge of mesh generation tools (Pointwise) and CAD (preferably CATIA v5)

-
You have knowledge of UNIX/LINUX and HPC best practices

-
You have experience with coding in C/C++ and Python

-
You had good communication skills in both French and English

-
You are eligible to work on International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) projects

-
You are willing to travel for short term assignments
