Education & Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field, and typically 9+ years of related work experience
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
* Minimum of 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems
* Must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Skills
* Experience with Model-Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM
* Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Master’s degree + 7 years of experience, or PhD + 4 years of experience
* Experience supporting product lifecycle activities with internal teams, suppliers, and external customers Job Duties & Functions
* Design, analyze, and modify aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet stakeholder and production requirements
* Develop highly complex tooling and equipment concepts, including alternative solutions for production system integration
* Validate technical data and influence engineering design decisions to support manufacturing processes
* Research and integrate robotics, automation, and emerging technologies into tooling and equipment strategies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop bids and procurement specifications
* Estimate, plan, and execute acquisition and modification of tooling and equipment assets
* Develop and implement testing and acceptance criteria to validate performance requirements
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including preventative maintenance plans and training materials
* Implement interim solutions for damaged or non-compliant equipment and tooling
* Investigate engineering changes and manage configuration control of tooling and equipment systems
* Lead production readiness activities, including gated reviews and milestone validation
* Support Make/Buy decisions and coordinate with Procurement to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives
* Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, maintainability, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements
* Develop reliability improvements using engineering analysis and tooling methodologies
* Maintain configuration control of hardware, software, and associated documentation
* Conduct asset evaluations and recommend disposition strategies Physical Requirements & Environment
