Responsibilities

  • Interprets and communicates contract quality requirements as well as internal quality requirements.
  • Develops and implements procedures to meet quality requirements.
  • Prepares inspection procedures, check lists and instructions for Inspection, Test and Operations personnel.
  • Integrate and ensure that quality assurance requirements are met by Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials and other operating functions.
  • Develops inspection training programs and assists with training appropriate personnel.
  • Implements and maintains SPC and Cost of Quality programs. Analyzes data and recommends corrective action.
  • Support Material Review Board and failure analysis programs with problem solving, disposition, identification and implementation of corrective action.
  • Support the establishment of a Supplier Partnership program working with Materials personnel and suppliers.
  • Responsible for the supervision and implementation of all software quality assurance practices. 
  • Responsible for providing support to Software Engineering by developing and maintaining procedures, performing inspections and audits and developing plans incorporating quality assurance activities unique to each software development effort.
  • Responsible to supervise the efforts and assess the performance of those performing software quality assurance duties.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all quality records pertaining to software.
Job Requirements:
  • Three to five years’ experience in electronics manufacturing and/or quality assurance environment.
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field 
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential to this position. Experience with six sigma, fault tree analysis, APQP, FMEA’s, error-proofing and other, similar techniques preferred.

  • Working knowledge of various quality control systems such as 14 CFR Part 21, SPC, TQM, ISO9000 / AS9100, etc
  • Working knowledge of J-STD-001D, IPC A-610D, and RTCA/DO-178B/C
