The Quality Engineering Intern will manage processes and/or projects as an individual contributor. The individual will work to achieve objectives that have a major impact on the organizational quality goals while using expertise to provide input on the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
Provide analysis and guidance to ensure quality standards are in effect.Implement testing and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.Analyze and make recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and design problems for internally produced products & processes.Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.Perform Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective action for problems for internally produced products & processes.Develop new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.Provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team.Investigate and analyze any hardware/assembly concerns causing quality and delivery issues by reviewing procedures, specifications, instructions, processes, and equipment to ensure compliance to applicable drawing, specifications, and standards.Determine the proper disposition of nonconforming material when participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) activities.Generate, maintain, and provide quality metrics to the Quality Management team and oversee quality improvement programs.Serve as a liaison to government and customer representatives for the Quality discipline as needed.Maintain knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO.Maintain quality system knowledge and familiarity with SAP System transactions and the ability to query data from SAP and database systemsEnsure integrity of QN’s and various data collection.
Basic Qualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.Must be a U.S. CitizenMust have 30 credits completed by the start of the session.
