Position Title: Cabinet Maker IL
Only qualified candidates with the below experience will be considered for this position.
Position Description:
Reading Blueprints/Manuals/Drawings
- Studies plans and specifications for project to understand what needs to be done and how to complete the work
- Utilized from fabrication through to installation
- Follows drawings to produce final product
Interior Cabinet / Monument Fabrication and Assembly
- Fabricates and assembles interior cabinets/monuments into aircrafts including: cabinets, gallies, desks, bulkheads and stereo cabinets
- Uses power tools such as table saws, band saws, routers, sanders and portable power equipment to assemble products
- Uses blueprints and other technical publications to complete assembly on such cabinets/monuments
Interior Cabinet / Monument Installation
- Completes cabinetry installation and trim fabrication into the aircrafts interior utilizing blueprints
- Applies appropriate veneers and finishes to interior cabinets and monuments
Components and Fixture Installations
- Installation of interior components/ fixtures (e.g. lighting, DVD players, humidifiers, monitors, switch panels, coat hooks, etc.)
Repair and Modification of Interior Cabinets/Monuments
- Repairing existing interior fixtures and cabinets
- Making modifications to interior fixtures and cabinets after assembly
Position Requirements:
• Prior cabinetry experience in the aviation industry preferred.
• Cabinet making training and/or prior cabinet making experience in relevant industries (example: automotive) preferred. This training may take the form of military training or technical school training.
• Must have proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools (power planners, jointers, table saws, routers, sanders, miter boxes and portable power equipment.)
• High school degree required or GED equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
