Job Description:

The Aircraft Designer is responsible for developing functional and aesthetic designs for aircraft interiors, and paint renderings or communicating the designs via hand sketches, material sample presentations, and oral and written reports. This is an experienced-level design position with no supervisory responsibilities that reports to the Completions Manager

  • Leads creation of color boards and samples of exterior renderings for clients.
  • Leads the creation of concepts for carpet and floor coverings, seating surfaces, and sidewall material.
  • Leads preparation of design presentations.
  • Contacts and maintains business relationships with product vendors.
Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design preferred, or Associate Degree and 2+ years’ experience in aviation cabin design, or similar interior design.
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of design projects and sketches.

SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of design principles and application to project production.
  • Detailed understanding of aircraft interior design and construction.
  • Good drawing and sketching skills.
