Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
Support production and parts sales by physically inspecting components against engineering drawings and specifications to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality and customer requirements. This review includes examining the certification path, performing First Article Inspections (FAI), issuing FAA forms, and completing functional tests. The role involves ensuring documentation is properly completed and filed, working as part of a Quality Control/Assurance team to ensure aircraft components comply with FAA/TSO requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document inspections on products and processes including aircraft air lies, seats, divans, monuments, spares, and other components as they are assembled.
- Conduct first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA and AS9102 approved procedures.
- Ensure all associated records are completed accurately.
- Possess working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance or Quality Control systems and methodologies such as AS9100.
- Hold MRB Authority.
- Issue FAA forms 8130-3, 8130-9, and 8100-1 in accordance with FAA requirements for authorized functions including conformity, prototype, export, and 14 CFR Part 43 Return to Service activities.
- Complete FAA initial/recurrent designee training if required, as part of the ARD approval process.
- Assist with nonconformance investigations.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of aircraft component inspection experience.
- Experience with FAA Part 21 Parts Manufacturing Approval and FAA 145 Repair Station preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in using various measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and multi-meter.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with high self-motivation and initiative.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance or Quality Control systems and methodologies (AS9100).
- Possession of MRB Authority.
- Ability to complete FAA designee training with a passing certificate.
- A&P license preferred for highest pay.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves working in a professional setting, focused on ensuring the highest standards of quality in aircraft components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm City, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
