Desktop Support Specialist - Bridgeport, WV

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST in BRIDGEPORT, WV

Responsibilities:
Desktop Support personnel will be required to:

• Work closely with local users to troubleshoot general computer issues, connectivity, software and hardware problems.
• Act as a liaison between local users and corporate help desk, submits help desk tickets, follows up on resolution.
• Install and fix corporate patches, new software, hardware.
• Re-image computers, prepare new hardware and software for all users (local and remote).
• Support infrastructure projects (new hardware installs, and larger corporate supported projects) as needed.
• Be involved in research and testing new software and hardware needs for the business.
• Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.

Job Type:

• Full-time, Contract
• Works flexible schedule (i.e., 12-8pm, early evenings and some weekend work) NOT a typical 8am-5pm schedule

 
Essential Job Functions:

• Must be able to work independently on issues and projects.
• Must keep accurate logs of tickets and status of these.
• General knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is a must.
• General knowledge of SharePoint would be a huge plus.

• Desktop/Hardware support 1-2 years.
• BS in Math, Comp Science, Electronics, technical (database, networking, or IT concentration preferred) or Engineering.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
