Parts Person for Receiving/ Inventory/ Ordering/ Documentation
Job Description:

The Parts Person reports to the Director of Maintenance and will support the company’s procurement and supply chain requirements. This position is responsible for purchasing materials, equipment, supplies and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with applicable purchasing procedures, Maintenance Manuals, or Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). The Parts Person will review purchase requests, investigate and develop sources of supplies, prepare bid specifications, issue parts requests, and review price quotations.

This Includes Part Receiving, Shipping, Documentation filing & related excel or word data inputs.

Job Requirements:
  • Fluent English required for reading and writing requirements.
  • Responsible for the procurement of assigned goods and services required to support Aviation Operations.
  • Uses best procurement practices to obtain lowest cost and best lead times for assigned items.
  • Develop relationships with strategic suppliers, brokers, and manufacturers.
  • Performs purchasing duties requiring necessary skills to plan and procure supplies, materials, equipment and services
  • Under supervision, prepares RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for goods and services. Evaluates supplier proposals and updates software to communicate current pricing & lead time data.
  • Places purchase orders for goods and services in support of Aviation Operations
  • Expedites purchase orders as required
  • Resolves issues pertaining to purchase orders: receiving, invoicing discrepancies and timely closure of purchase orders
  • Will oversee Parts control program from ordering to receiving with proper documentation requirements.
  • Has extensive contact with suppliers
  • Interfaces with team members at many levels.
  • Track and return cores to suppliers in order to avoid unnecessary expense to the company.
  • Track, manage and maintain all company owned tooling and calibrated tooling
  • Track, manage and maintain company owned ground support equipment. 
    •  Assist with budgeting quotes for ground support equipment.
  •   Provide guidance for lowest cost fueling options and fueling equipment
  • Track, manage, and maintain all company aircraft parts inventories.
  • Audit aircraft parts inventories on a periodic basis.
  • Work with the Finance Department to ensure payment of invoices
  •  Work with Vendors to secure billing terms that coincide with the Department policy.
  • Must be able lift boxes up to 30lbs.
