To perform functions assigned in the refueling and servicing of aircraft.
Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent bending or stooping. Requires occasional climbing, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, squatting, kneeling, and balancing. Requires frequent lifting and carrying weight up to 35 pounds and occasional pushing or pulling weight up to or over 100 pounds. Requires repetitive foot movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Fuel trucks, GSE equipment, transportation vehicles.
Work Location: Flightline, fuel farm, highway driving.
Protective Equipment Required: Ear protection, gloves.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets, desert wildlife and insects, working around moving machinery.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
Monitors bulk fuel storage including receiving, dispensing, inventory, and quality control.
Maintains fuel trucks.
Performs aircraft fuel sales.
Fuels and refuels company, customer and transient aircraft.
Fuels and operates GSE equipment.
Transports company and customers to and from airports, hotels, tours, etc.
Performs runway and taxiway inspections and sweeping.
Performs standby for aircraft arrivals and departures.
Responds to all FOB emergencies.
Marginal Job Functions:
Ensures that customer requirements and needs are met.
Escorts and assists in parking of all incoming aircraft.
Supports DOD aircraft by loading, unloading and providing GSE equipment.
Maintains vehicle appearance on dispatch vehicles.
Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance.
Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.
Duties not listed within the position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of the department management. Job functions may vary due to irregular working conditions or multiple shift positions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; working knowledge of ground equipment refueling techniques; attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to position; ability to safely drive and operate a standard shift automotive vehicle and other applicable equipment; ability to work without supervision.
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: A minimum of one-year experience as a GSE Refueler, preferred.
Certificates/Licenses: Current valid Arizona driver’s license with clear driving record for past three years required. Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license.
Other: May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
