Job Description:
HeliBacon is the world's premier Helicopter Hog Hunting outfit and we are growing. HeliBacon is seeking a skilled, professional individual for the Aviation – Bell Medium A&P Mechanic position located in Bryan, Texas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), company policies, and procedures, in a timely manner, with a high standard of safety and quality
- Carry out maintenance on all components and accessories of aircraft
- Replace aircraft parts and components as necessary
- Create inventories of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Part sourcing/purchasing and liaising with third party vendors.
- Maintain aircraft technical records and other documents such as reports of fixed and replaced aircraft components
- Diagnose malfunctions and apply corrective maintenance
- Plan off-season maintenance work scope and provide management with cost estimate.
- Provide management with an annual outlook and budget for upcoming maintenance
- Maintain a consistent, open, and honest line of communication with management
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, dependable, and resourceful, with a can-do attitude
- Actively participate in the company SMS program
- Make safety a priority at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Current, valid A&P license with verifiable experience.
- Minimum 10 years Bell Medium (204/205/212/412) experience.
- Previous experience in Aircraft Maintenance Management
- Bell 212 Factory Type Course
- Pratt and Whitney PT6T Factory Type Course
- Clean & valid driver’s license. (must provide Driver’s Abstract)
- Experienced and capable with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start. Will be enrolled in our random drug pool.
- Maintain a professional image and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to evolving situations.

Desired:
- IA Certification
- Field experience
- MRO / Part 145 Experience
- Experienced in Maintenance of IFR capable aircraft
- Bell 212 Factory Component Overhaul Course
- Bell 212 Avionics, Electrical System & Sperry AFCS Factory Type Courses
- Willingness and ability to perform tasks outside of job description (i.e. fabrication, structural repair, etc.)
- Familiarity with JSSI Traxxall maintenance tracking software
- Familiarity with DATS (Digital Action Tracking System)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This position is full-time, non-exempt. The hours vary based upon flight schedule but starting time is typically 2 hours prior to sunrise during January – October.
Working Days:
- Mid-January thru Mid-October – Tuesday thru Saturday
- Mid-October thru Mid-January – Monday thru Friday (tentative 7 am to 3 pm)
