Description:Field Maintenance Lead troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems, and performs major structural modifications. Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals. Required to maintain FAA required records, manuals, and inspection forms. May fuel and groom the aircraft. Oversees all inspections and maintenance on aircraft to ensure adherence to FAA and manufacturers requirements and guidelines. Receives technical guidance, as required, from Supervisor, Engineering, or higher-level technician, with any complex aircraft relevant tasks.
Use of hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Support includes disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective parts on or off aircraft. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces structures/ systems and aircraft components, systems, or accessories. Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation or manufacturers manuals. Requires individual workload responsibility to maintain schedules on assigned projects from Supervisor. Perform other duties as requested to support overall contract effort or customer Aviation maintenance support.
A&P license is required. Candidate will be required to report to Huntsville Operations site to execute tasked work when not on field assignments.
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Applicant must be a holder of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license and extensive experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.

Must have A&P licensing

Must be able to research and understand technical data such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Blueprints, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Experience maintaining S92/S76/S70/UH60/53E aircraft desired

EXTENSIVE TRAVEL IS REQUIRED
