Summary:
Assist with on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications, repairs, and installations.
Perform basic connector terminations (shielded wires, coaxial, fiber optic).
Handle and route wiring; seal, wrap, bond, tie, and close harnesses/cables.
Read and follow engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements.
Support troubleshooting of aircraft electrical and environmental systems.
Assist with operational testing (bench and flight line) per DoD, OEM, and company directives.
Perform assembly, installation, inspection, and modification of wire bundles.
Follow safety, FOD, and Lockout/Tagout procedures; use tools and measuring instruments properly.
Support cross-functional teams (mechanics, structures, avionics) to meet cost/schedule targets.
Maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits.
Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a TS clearance during onboarding (A comprehensive background check covering finances, residences, employment, drug use, military service, and criminal history will be required).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in aircraft electrical/electronic systems or related duties.
Knowledge of basic aircraft electrical theories and systems.
Ability to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), weekends, and overtime.
Must pass required assessments during training.
Regular and predictable attendance required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Physical Requirements:
Climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift ~35 lbs (team lift >50 lbs).
Frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, and balancing on uneven surfaces.
Occasional crawling, squatting, bending/stooping, and working on elevated platforms.
Exposure to noise, metals, and hazardous materials.
Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests; use PPE as required.
