Job Description:
  • Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on various engine types and models.
  • Disassembly and re-assembly of Honeywell engine types and models.
  • Stages and de-stages engines to perform test cell analysis.
  • Document all engine discrepancies, troubleshooting and repairing discrepancies and describing work accomplished in inspection paperwork.
  • Accomplish Service Bulletins, repair letters, and Air-worthiness Directive, as required.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required
  • Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
  • Works fair share of overtime and travels to customer locations or other facilities to support customer aircraft, as required
Job Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid FAA-authorized Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Four or more years of military backshop engine experience will be accepted if non-licensed.
  • Must have mechanical and technical aptitude.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk throughout hangar, climb onto aircraft and platforms, work with hands and power tools, and work in tight confined spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand a minimum of 8 hours per day and walk long distances.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders in order to work on areas within the aircraft or engine that are difficult to access.
  • Must be able to manipulate and operate equipment of all sizes, tools, telephone handset, calculator, computer keyboard, and telephones.
  • Must be able to work outside in extremes of temperature and inclement weather.
  • Must be able to see to disassemble and visually inspect.
  • Must be able to hear to detect the sources of problems.
  • Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to clearly speak to communicate and read and write English document status of maintenance.
