General functions/requirements for aircraft maintenance functions of the Line, Corrosion Control, Tool Room, and Aircraft Organizational Level (O-Level) Maintenance support P-3C and EP-3E supported by Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing TEN (CPRW-10). You would be pivotal in providing aviation maintenance support requirements to enable VQ-1 to complete its assigned tactical missions. All work will be performed in facilities under the control of VQ-1, located at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA, and detachment locations.

Aviation Electricians (AE) are responsible for maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems and instruments using the latest test equipment and procedures. The types of systems you may work on include:
- Power generators, converters and distribution
- Interior and exterior lighting
- Aircraft batteries, hydraulics, landing gear and flight control
- Automatic flight control, stabilization, attitude and compass systems
- Aircraft and ship navigation systems
- Power plant engines
- Indicating and warning systems
- Digital computer systems and fiber optics
- Infrared detection and radar
- Laser electronics
- Communications equipment
- Electric transformers and circuits
- Motors
Type of Vehicles/Support Equipment: P-3C and EP-3E
Hourly Rate: $41.10 per hour
Additional Rate: $5.33 per hour for Health and Welfare.

Contract Duration: This is a long standing contract that STi has recently been awarded. The contract with STi has a duration of 3.5 years, at which time the contract will be re-competed. STi and other vendors will bid at that time, and if in the event STi does not win the resulting contract, personnel on site have first right of refusal on a job offer from the incoming contractor. It is a long term position in that regard as personnel will just change their badging to the new company that takes over, but all positions will remain.
