POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies. 
  • Brief and debrief pilots assigned to functional check flights.
  • Perform aircraft, component, and shop inspections to verify compliance with technical instructions and directives.
  • Maintain technical publications and related directives, forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
  • Administer and monitor aircraft weight and balance programs.
  • Initiate and follow up on Quality Deficiency Reports.
  • Assist in the establishment, documentation, implementation, and administration of Quality Assurance procedures appropriate to the regulatory requirements mandated by FAA, EASA, OEM, and partner nation.
  • Maintain understanding of current regulatory requirements pertaining to the quality control of aerospace parts/components.
  • Ensure that all incoming materials, parts, assemblies conform to the appropriate approved data.
  • Perform follow-up verification audits to ensure the effectiveness of corrective / preventive actions.
  • Perform audits and inspections of work centers and maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
  • Initiate projects to improve efficiency and productivity, pursuing higher quality, better performance, and cost savings.
  • May perform First Article Inspections per AS9120/9102 or ISO 9001 inspection activities as required.
  • Mentor and provide on-the-job training to assigned partner nation personnel.

 

Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD contract management and administration requirements.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations and basic maintenance programs.

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Six years’ experience in aircraft maintenance required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or military school training required.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License with IA preferred.
  • Relevant aircraft familiarity desired.

 

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening; subsequent random screening per antidrug and alcohol misuse prevention program requirements.
  • Work assignment in remote OCONUS location.
  • Austere living and working conditions, with long hours and exposure to harsh weather and hazardous conditions.

 

Travel:

  • Personnel should be aware of requirements to mobilize on short notice and under adverse conditions.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
