Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic - Amazing Opportunity

As an Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician at GossHawk Unlimited, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to work on the airframe of a rare German Focke-Wulf Fw 190. Your role as a sheet metal mechanic will involve closely collaborating with German manuals, reverse engineering processes from salvaged components that may have limited drawings available, and meticulously hand-forming components essential for completing the aircraft's structural integrity.

GossHawk Unlimited is a comprehensive aircraft restoration and maintenance facility, specializing in the preservation and care of warbird and vintage aircraft, encompassing both propeller-driven and jet-powered aircraft. Our dedicated team comprises individuals holding A&P and/or IA licenses, ensuring the highest standards in aircraft maintenance and restoration. At GossHawk, our services extend beyond restorations to encompass annual, condition, progressive, and 100-hour inspections, component repairs, engine maintenance, engine replacements, and structural repairs, both major and minor.

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and abilities:

• Prior experience in aircraft sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in hand forming techniques
• Capability to work with minimal to no drawings
• Physical strength to handle items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Successful completion of a basic sheet metal test
• Experience working on warbird/vintage aircraft preferred
• FAA Airframe certification is a plus
