Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description:

Ready to launch your career in aviation? Safran Helicopter Engines Australia is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic, commencing in February 2026.

This 4-year apprenticeship combines hands-on experience with study at TAFE, leading to a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical). Along the way, youll work directly with the worlds leading helicopter engine manufacturer and gain skills that can take you anywhere in the aviation industry.

Job Requirements:

About You

To apply, you must have completed (or currently completing) your Higher School Certificate, or equivalent by the end of 2025, with a focus on Maths and Physics.

We are looking for candidates who:

•\tAre curious about how things work and enjoy problem-solving
•\tHave a genuine interest in aviation or mechanics, shown through:
- Previous work experience
- Hobbies or hands-on projects (mechanics, tinkering, maintenance)
- Strong results in technical or science-based subjects
