Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job DescriptionThe assembly technician plays a vital role in our production process by ensuring the high quality of GTF elements. As a detail-oriented professional, you will be responsible for operating various production resources and adhering to standard operating procedures to eliminate non-compliant materials. This position requires extreme attention to detail and the ability to identify abnormalities in processes and materials, ensuring that our metal foam is defect-free, complies with strict specifications, and is meticulously packaged.
Responsibilities
- Operate production resources including bandsaw, laser jet, hydraulic press, die press, feeler gauge, and calipers to create finished products.
- Use precision measurement tools to ensure specified tolerances for rigid, metal skeletal structure material elements are met at every resource.
- Identify non-compliant material and manage scrap/disposition as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and management to improve production processes and reduce downtime.
- Utilize ERP software to track daily activities and direct/indirect labor transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing all necessary PPE, including respirator masks and hoods. You must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs infrequently, work standing for extended periods, and adapt to extreme temperatures and loud production settings. The role requires 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime, although it is not guaranteed. The contract runs from September to December, with a possibility of extending until May.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
