The Aviation Maintenance Technician provides aircraft maintenance services at one of our bases of operation (Eau Claire, WI; Rochester, MN; and Mankato, MN), and will also be expected to cover maintenance tasks at non-primary bases of operation when necessary, including a helicopter maintenance facility in Austin, MN.
The Aviation Maintenance Technician is expected to place the needs of our patients first by ensuring aviation safety, which includes following the Mayo Clinic Culture of Safety by modeling five safety behaviors (pay attention to detail; communicate clearly; have a questioning and receptive attitude; hand-off effectively; support each other).
The Aviation Maintenance Technician will actively participate in a Safety Management System (SMS), will act as a delegate to the Director of Maintenance as needed, and will perform additional tasks as necessary to support the Mayo Clinic air carrier certificate for Part 135 operations.
This position is 0.8 FTE/32 hours per week with a minimum of 128 hours on-call during each two-week pay period, to include on-call coverage every other weekend. The on-call schedule will be determined by the Director of Maintenance to support the business needs of Mayo Clinic Air Operations.
