POSITION: Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Instructor

LOCATION: NDSCS – Wahpeton and Fargo, North Dakota 

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 9-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: Primary instructional responsibilities include teaching and developing curriculum for the AMT program courses that meet FAA Part 147 Certification. Additional responsibilities include developing project timelines with objectives and supporting the requirements of NDSCS and Accrediting Agencies. This position is also responsible for student advising, assessment, student recruitment, and participation in assigned departmental, divisional, and college committees and activities.

The package includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College – with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire. PAY: Starting at $59,163, commensurate with education and experience

Job Requirements:
  • Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS.
  • Hold FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
  • FAA Part 147 Instructor.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with students and staff in a team setting. 
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of students.
  • Willingness to teach students with varying levels of ability.
  • Able and willing to keep current in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate in Applied Science Degree. 
  • Experience in the following areas:
