SUMMARY: 
  • Manage inspection process for pre-purchase and post lease of commercial aircraft and engines.
  • Review aircraft and engine records to effectively manage lease, sale, and teardown engines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Perform inspections of engines prior to purchase, and following lease.
  • Review engine records prior to purchase to determine the marketability of engines.
  • Manage and maintain engine records library and archives following purchase or repair in a way that makes LLPs of teardown engines marketable.
  • Travel to customer locations to assess requirements and provide on-site representation at repair facilities during the engine repair process.
  • Create mini-packs for lease engines for marketing purposes.
  • Generate work scopes for engines due for repair including LLP trace.
  • Review customer requirements versus AAR owned engines.
  • Coordinate with the product line personnel for use of AAR owned inventory.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Bachelor degree preferred; or four years related experience and/or training.
    A&P license preferred.
  • Strong background in quality, inspection and records a plus.
  • Experience in asset management preferred.
