Job Title: Cable Inspection Specialist
Job Description
As a Cable Inspection Specialist, youll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cable products. Your expertise will be essential in inspecting cables, identifying non-conformances, and collaborating with our team to resolve quality issues. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will make you a valuable asset to our organization.
Responsibilities
- Inspect cables using predetermined methods, operations, and specifications.
- Utilize various measuring devices, such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales.
- Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues.
Essential Skills
- Experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using IPC-A-620 standards.
- IPC 620 soldering experience.
- Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions.
- Strong experience in cable manufacturing and inspection.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management.
- Proficient with Personal Computers and newer applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, assembly, production, soldering, crimping, hand assembly, PCB assembly, PCB board, rework, touch-up, fine pitch soldering, desoldering, ball grid array, quality inspection.
- IPC Certifications + Inspection.
- Strong soldering experience on circuit cards, rework, and familiarity with terms like ball grid array (BGA), electronic assembly, electronics, solder, SMT, mechanical assembly, hand tool, microscope, electrical assembly, PCB, J standard.

Work Environment
Our huge manufacturing facility in Oldsmar is very regulated and safety conscious. The climate-controlled environment is air-conditioned and well-spaced, with individual workstations for employees. We offer two shifts: 1st shift from 5am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday with Fridays off, and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 2am Monday to Thursday with Fridays off.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
