The Operations organization is comprised of more than 6,000 dedicated professionals deployed to company and customer sites throughout the country. Operations touches all of Space programs and products managing our supply chain; producing, assembling, testing and transporting mission critical hardware; ensuring safety, quality and security; integrating enterprise plans; maintaining and improving our facilities; while ensuring program performance. All of the essential elements that ultimately result in the delivery of spacecraft, missiles and instruments to our customers.
Every day, the work we do makes a difference. Working with experienced engineers, perform quality assurance product acceptance inspections and logbook reviews. Responsible for verifying effective corrective action is implemented to resolve the root cause of discrepancies. Support of quality metrics generation and reporting, cause and effect analysis.
Actively enrolled in a Bachelors degree program at an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills as this position may require interaction with external customers / suppliers. Problem solver/solution focused. Flexibility/teamwork oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. SAP/ERP experience, Green Belt training/certification, Cause and Effect Analysis skills. Statistical Process Control (SPC) and reporting quality metrics experience. Familiar with AS9100. May be certified or have classroom experience in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
