BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the manufacturing of Aerospace
Composite Parts and Structures
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Manufacture and Assembly of Aerospace Composite Parts and
Structures.
·Fabrication of parts using wet layup and pre-impregnated
composite materials with multiple resin systems and fabrics.
·Vacuum bagging of composite materials and parts.
·Placement and consolidation of materials in tooling.
·Manufacture and finish of composite tooling using: metals, MDF,
foams, epoxy boards, carbon fibers and fiberglass.
·Bonding composite structures including hand finishing parts to
proper fitment.
·Supervise and train those employees with lesser experience.
·Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and/or
engineering work instructions.
·Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure
quality defects are minimized.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & Qualifications:
·3+ years of Composite manufacture/fabrication experience
in the Aerospace/U.S. DoD industry or the Government preferred.
·High School Diploma minimum.
·Strong safety work ethic – recognizes the importance of properly
handling hazardous materials, chemicals, tools, etc.
·Experienced with quality inspection points and process
documentation.
·Knowledge of resins, mixing, ratios and paste mixes.
·Demonstrated self-starter with a willingness to learn new things
and substantial flexibility to handle and manage change.
·Computer literate, demonstrated.
·Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
·People skills - required internally and with STS's customers.
·A&P License Preferred but not Required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
·Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min.
·Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and able to maneuver in
tight spaces.
·Physically able to handle items weighing up to 40lbs
(unassisted).

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field Years
 
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience Skills: ·Must have 1 - 5 years of experience working in manufacturing, assembly, layup or composite fabrication. ·Must be able to lift, hold and carry up to 40 pounds unaided. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. ·Must be able to use tools to do production operations correctly and safely. ·Must work efficiently and productively at assigned work. ·Must be willing to work overtime when required. ·
 
·Must be a US Person.

Salary Range: 28.00-32.00
Relocation: Per Diem $800.00 Weekly Split
