Job Description:

Get Paid to learn and get your license as a A&P Apprentice. First Line Aero, LLC works on a wide variety of aircraft. In our shop you can gain a great deal of experience in a short period of time.  We work with Paint and Interior shops on on many projects. If you want to work and learn fast, apply today. First Line Aero is located in beautiful East Texas and is a growing business. Starting pay $19/hr, Raise to $21/hr after 90 day probation.

In our shop you will:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance. We work tail draggers to Jets but specialize in PA46 Malibu, Mirage, Jet prop, and Meridian. 
  • The variety will challenge you in a well-equipped and supported shop environment.
  • Read, understand and use MMs, IPCs, AD’s, Service Bulletins, inspection check lists, and other related maintenance documentation to effectively troubleshoot airframe, engine, avionics, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain aircraft log books, status reports, historical and administrative data as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area. 
  • Job involves work outside and inside, may require occasional road trips, overtime, or weekend duty.

Job Requirements:
  • Comply with FAA regulations with regard to work performed.
  • Must provide own basic tools.
  • Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Be eligible to work in the US.
  • Be in a physical condition to be able to lift 75lbs, bend, stoop, squat, walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and reach as required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Capable of working well with others and independently, within the scope and depth of work focused on meeting customer expectations. 
  • Communicate with customers and team members in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Be able to research any reported aircraft discrepancies and parts needed.
Other Duties:
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. 
  • This position works inside a hangar and outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.  This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
Salary Range: $19/Hr-$26/Hr
Relocation: $500
