Job Description
Join a dynamic team where you will perform essential assembly and disassembly operations on aircraft fuel systems and equipment. You will adhere to directives from the Department of Defense, manufacturers, and other guidelines to ensure precision and safety. Your role will include performing operational checks, assembling, and testing articles for system testing, development, and modification of aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and disassembly operations on aircraft fuel systems and equipment.
- Conduct operational checks of aircraft fuel systems and components.
- Assemble and test articles for system testing, development, and modification.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, and technical manuals.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as torque wrenches and gauges.
- Operate ground support equipment including hydraulic test carts and tow tractors.
- Fuel/defuel and perform leak checks on fuel systems.
- Work in confined spaces and remove/install equipment based on blueprints.
- Identify, clean, and treat different types of corrosion.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Document maintenance and repair actions accurately.
- Order necessary parts, tools, and materials while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills
- 2 to 4 years of experience in aircraft fuel systems and components overhaul.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
- Capability to work with precision measuring instruments.
- Experience operating ground support equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of shop mathematics and assembly methods.
- Ability to work from drawings, sketches, and templates.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work all shifts and in various weather conditions.

Work Environment
Work in an open-bay, non-climate controlled environment on a flexible schedule. Shifts available are 1st (M-F, 5:30am-2:30pm) and 2nd (M-F, 2pm-10:30pm) with optional overtime. Employees are eligible for an annual $100 expense for steel-toed shoes. Must be open to working any shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
