Job Description:
Basic Job Functions/Tasks: Personnel assigned maintenance functions duties shall report to the Director of Maintenance and are specifically responsible for:
  • Properly executing the duties assigned.
  • Performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturer’s Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
  • Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility.
  • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA:    

  • Properly perform fuel tank repairs with proper documentation.

ESSENTIAL CONTACTS (Internal / External):

  • Internal: All repair station personnel.                                                            
  • External: Regulatory inspectors.                    
Job Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum 18 months mechanical experience preferred. (Aviation preferred, but not required)
  • Entry level positions are also available, and require no prior experience. 
  • Previous fuel tank experience necessary

COMPETENCY:

  • Thorough knowledge of all product lines, associated assembly and inspection techniques, along with industry processes, standards and practices.  
  • Understanding of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Understanding of applicable OSHA and EPA Regulations.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to interact well with persons inside and outside the repair station.
  • Able to work with or without supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to process paperwork effectively.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes and other elements relative to the production shop environment.
  • Able to work overtime, if required.
  • Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in repair station duties.
  • Must comply with repair station’s drug-free workplace policy.

EDUCATION: 

  • Read, write, and speak English.

ADDITIONAL:

  • Hold a valid Driver’s License, and reliable transportation.
  • Meet FAR part 65, must obtain a valid Airframe License or Repairman’s certificate from S.E.A.L. Aviation.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, and ability to work extended hours when needed. 
Salary Range: 20 per hour-25
