Helicopter Avionics Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, and secure aircraft wiring and cable assemblies
- Mount antennas, avionics equipment, and related electrical components
- Connect and configure NAV/COM, radios, GPS, autopilot, RVSM, engine monitoring, and passenger entertainment systems
- Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and avionics discrepancies
- Remove, repair, reinstall, and test avionics components
- Perform soldering, wiring, pinning, crimping, and connector work as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical data
- Conduct functional checks to ensure avionics systems operate properly before return to service
- Verify avionics systems do not interfere with other aircraft electronic systems
- Support ground testing, flight test review, and discrepancy resolution
- Coordinate work with the Avionics Manager, aircraft maintenance technicians, and maintenance crew
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and work performed in accordance with repair station requirements
