Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Helicopter Component Overhaul Technician to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This position operates within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station and focuses on the inspection, overhaul, repair, and testing of helicopter components.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with rotorcraft components in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities

Disassemble, inspect, repair, overhaul, and reassemble helicopter components

Perform dimensional inspections and measurements using precision tools

Evaluate parts for serviceability in accordance with manufacturer specifications

Replace bearings, seals, hardware, and other component parts as required

Perform functional testing of overhauled components

Read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), and technical data

Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and company quality standards

Complete accurate documentation and work orders per FAA Part 145 requirements

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment

Assist with troubleshooting component failures and identifying root causes
Required Qualifications

Experience working on helicopter components (gearboxes, rotor heads, actuators, hydraulics, etc.)

Strong mechanical aptitude and precision measurement skills

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings

Experience in an aviation maintenance or FAA-regulated environment preferred

Ability to use micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and other precision tools

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications

A&P License (preferred but not required)

Experience working in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station

Experience supporting Bell, Robinson, or Airbus helicopter platforms

Experience performing component teardown and build-up inspections

Familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical rotorcraft systems
