The Inspector, A&P exhibits sound and accurate judgment. The Inspector, A&P supports and explains the reasoning for their decisions and includes the appropriate people in his/her decision making process.
&8226;An Inspector, A&P offers assistance and support to co-workers and actively strives to resolve conflicts when they arise.
&8226;Performs conformity inspections.
&8226;Performs External and Internal detailed inspections on engine components (e.g., Fan Assembly, Fan
&8226;Blades, Engine Gear Boxes, Compressor, Turbine, Combustion System, Fuel System, Oil System)
&8226;Performs dimensional checks on critical engine parts
&8226;Performs receiving inspections of engines and engines components
&8226;Understands Federal Aviation Regulations
&8226;Able to properly complete FAA Form 337.
&8226;Uses deductive reasoning in interpreting technical issues.
&8226;Must be up-to-date on scope of required maintenance for customers and coordinates efforts to ensure a timely turnaround.
&8226;Inspectors will monitor their own personal hours charged to a job to ensure accuracy.
&8226;Informs the appropriate people of problems and work status so that communications with the customer are timely and complete.
&8226;Insures a complete and proper pass-down is maintained.
&8226;Coordinates with other departments as needed to assure that customers have a positive experience at the facility.
&8226;Supports and adheres to all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies.
&8226;Authorized to work in the U.S.
&8226;A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required.
&8226;3 - 5 years experience as A&P Mechanic required
&8226;Must have the ability to think clearly, speak intelligibly on the telephone, and in person.
&8226;Must have the ability to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
&8226;Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
&8226;Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
&8226;Must have good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with customers and employees.
&8226;High School degree required or GED equivalent.
&8226;Prefer applicants with experience working in an engine overhaul shop
&8226;Prefer applicants with experience on TFE731 and CFE 738 Engines.
&8226;Prefer applicants with experience performing Nondestructive Testing
&8226;Prefer applicants with experience performing engine borescope inspections
&8226;Prefer applicants with experience with engine log books and documents used to proof engine serviceability
