Join the Jet Crew at Freedom Aviation, you’ll specialize in maintaining Citation, King Air, and Cirrus SF50 aircraft, along with providing maintenance services for transient corporate jets and airline operators. 

Our Jet Crew technicians are highly skilled in scheduled inspections, repairs, modifications, and occasional AOG support. 

You’ll work on our in-house fleet and support a diverse base of corporate aircraft operators—offering you the chance to broaden your expertise across a wide range of airframes and engines.

Role Overview:   

The primary responsibility of an A&P Technician is to complete aviation maintenance tasks in accordance with current Freedom Aviation policies and procedures, manufacturer instructions, and FAA regulations applicable to the maintenance and alteration of aviation products and appliances. The technician is responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and alterations to aircraft, aircraft systems, and their parts/components. 

The technician should have a working knowledge of aviation maintenance practices and Freedom Aviation forms, programs, and operations. They must be able to perform all tasks in a timely manner and in accordance with current federal aviation regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, operator’s general maintenance manuals, and any other approved data. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure all parts are properly removed from an aircraft. 
  • Ensure all parts are correctly tagged and preserved.
  • Verify all forms and documents are entered into the Repair Station log and are complete, accurate, and legible.
  • Assist with initiating stores requisitions for the replacement of parts and components.
  • Ensure repairs and alterations to parts and components are accomplished in an airworthy fashion.
  • Notify the lead technician when conditions arise that may cause delays in performing assigned duties.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting and completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Must hold a current FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license. 
  • Must be able to follow standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in compliance with all applicable manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations, as well as Federal Aviation regulations.
  • Possess or have access to the appropriate tools to accomplish assignments, except for required calibrated tooling and/or equipment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks.
  • Must be capable of working in confined spaces or at minor elevations.
  • Must be able to maintain a full range of motion at all times.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, and lift equipment from ground level to waist and overhead.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors, shades, and shapes.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and vendors.
