About our Mission
What does this role look like?
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Analysis Expert across various platforms in the Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors business. The individual in this position would oversee and perform structural, shock, vibration, non-linear and composite material analyses that support the structural design of metallic and composite structures for naval, launching systems, and missile systems projects across various platforms. Tasking would include finite element and classical stress analysis of various components and assemblies across multiple naval and other platforms; preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue/fracture assessment, drawing coordination and sign-off, test support and correlation, analysis presentations, and documentation of analyses for deliverable stress and fracture reports; analysis of discrepant hardware, components, or assemblies during on-going assembly and integration activities; and development of test concepts, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
The candidate should be capable of leading a small team of analysts to complete projects and of presenting and defending findings to internal stakeholders and external customers on a regular basis.
This individual in this position will help mentor, coach, and guide earlier career employees and help to build robust pipeline of mechanical engineering talent and knowledge.

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering combined with 12+ years related experience
• At least 7 years experience in structural analysis
• Working experience in structural analysis models, with FEMAP strongly preferred
• Experience developing and leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Experience in creating and reviewing designs in CAD tools (CREO preferred)
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret Level Clearance
Desired Skills:
• An advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical field is desired for this position
• DOD and/or US Navy Development Experience
• Launcher and Weapon System Experience
• Familiarity with composites and analysis of composite materials
• Testing experience including creating test concepts, selecting sensors, specifying data acquisition, monitoring testing, and writing plans, procedures and reports
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Experience presenting analysis findings to broad audiences
