Job Description:

Develops, implements and monitors quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Monitors and inspects documentation and performance of aircraft and support equipment maintenance, reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity. Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. May team lead and supervise junior personnel. Specific position training and certification requirements may be required by the CNAFINST 4790 and other maintenance instructions.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED. For commercial derivative aircraft, must be FAA certified and have A&P License.

Experience:

  • Four years of aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, modification, and flight-line operations performance within NAVAIRINST 3710.1(series) or CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) equivalent maintenance systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand and execute project requirements and how requirements interface with the daily maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scheduled tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing aircraft maintenance data systems.
  • Knowledgeable of supply/ logistics policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability.
  • Qualified Safe for Flight. Work Center Supervisor. Two years of NAWC/ NAVAIR experience.
