Shape the future of engineering design in a role that offers real technical ownership, exciting projects, and a healthy work-life balance.
We’re on the lookout for a skilled, hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join our close-knit engineering team. If you have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, an eye for detail, and a passion for creating high-quality, manufacturable designs, this could be your perfect next move.
You won’t be stuck in a corner working on the same parts over and over — you’ll take ownership of mechanical work packages, collaborate across disciplines, and see your designs go from concept to production.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and developing mechanical solutions from concept through to production using CATIA (preferred) or other CAD tools.
Supporting quotation and proposal activities for mechanical engineering projects.
Performing manual static analysis and basic mechanical calculations to validate designs before FEM outsourcing.
Selecting the best materials and components for reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
Working directly with suppliers to resolve design-for-manufacturing challenges.
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate your designs into complete systems.
Producing clear and professional technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, specifications).
Providing hands-on support in production, testing, and assembly.
Assisting in customer-facing technical discussions when required.
What you’ll bring
A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
Strong grasp of mechanical design principles and general physics laws.
3D CAD proficiency – CATIA preferred, but SolidWorks, NX, etc. also welcome.
Solid 2D drafting and GD&T experience.
Practical knowledge of Design for Manufacturing principles.
Confidence in static analysis and manual calculations.
Strong technical communication skills with suppliers and customers.
Bonus skills that’ll make you stand out
Familiarity with FEM/FEA tools like ANSYS.
Experience with machinery or integrated equipment design (2006/42/EC).
Knowledge of mechatronics or kinematics.
Ability to support sales and technical presentations.
