In this position youll be working to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical and propulsion components, assemblies and systems for Lockheed Martin Space products. This role will include participating in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. As an engineer, youll develop, review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Materials, or other related discipline (and/or equivalent experience).
• Coursework/experience in mechanical design, thermal/stress analysis, or propulsion.
• Experience with CAD tools
• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desire to work with propulsion, structures, mechanisms, thermal, analysis and all things Lockheed Martin Space!
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Ability to work in a team-based environment
•Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
•Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
•Knowledge of mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as CREO, Nastran, Thermal Desktop
•Fluency in modeling and analysis tools
•Additive manufacturing experience
