Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform complex maintenance, repair, and modification work on aircraft structures for the organization’s MRO and component operations. You will support military commercial derivative and fighter aircraft programs by ensuring all work meets contractual, regulatory, and first-time quality standards. You will be expected to maintain a high level of precision, safety, and craftsmanship while working in a collaborative and ethical team environment. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
* Must have typically 1 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must be a U.S. citizen.
* Must be willing to work variable shifts.
* Must be able to work at heights and obtain Fall Protection Certification (OSHA 1926, 191066, 1910 Subpart D).
* Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces. Preferred Skills
* You will have experience with close-tolerance drilling, part location, and fabrication.
* You will have basic mathematical and computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
* You will have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, process data sheets, and maintenance instruction manuals.
* You will have knowledge of corrosion prevention, surface preparation, sealant application, and the use of precision measuring tools.
* You will have familiarity with fastener identification, safety wiring, cotter pin installation, and aircraft finishes (primer, paint, Alodine). Job Duties / Functions
* You will be identifying, removing, and installing a variety of fasteners, including rivets, blind rivets, hi-locks, bolts, and lock bolts.
* You will be removing and reinstalling access panels and fairings, and extracting damaged screws without causing structural damage.
* You will be applying corrosion prevention, primer, sealants, and finishes to metallic and composite surfaces.
* You will be fabricating, locating, trimming, drilling, reaming, and assembling metallic and composite components.
* You will be making major and minor modifications to aircraft skins and other structural components to meet blueprint requirements.
* You will be performing close-tolerance drilling within .001 and precision measuring within .0005 using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
* You will be properly utilizing assembly jigs, repair equipment, and fixed tooling to locate parts, shims, final drill, and build components to specification.
* You will be maintaining accurate and timely documentation while adhering to all quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
