Role Summary
* Experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicianspecializing in ejection systems for F/A-18 aircraft. Skilled in maintaining, inspecting, removing, and installing ejection seats, canopy systems, oxygen systems, and associated safety equipment. Proficient in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, supporting flight operations, and ensuring compliance with maintenance and safety standards while prioritizing quality and operational readiness. Education & Job Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* Typically 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.).
* Aircraft maintenance experience required
* Experience working with ejection systems
* Maintenance experience working on the removal, installation, and inspection of aircraft systems/tools Job Duties/Functions
* Technician maintains the following: Aircraft seats and canopy ejection systems, Gaseous O2, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cockpit heat, pressurization, and ventilation
* Remove and install Oxygen system valves, gauges, converters, and regulators.
* Remove, install, inspect, and rig ejection seats, Cartridge Actuation Devices (CADS), shoulder harnesses, and lap belts.
* Perform daily, pre- and post-flight, and periodic aircraft inspections.
* Perform flight operation activities to include daily, turnaround, launch, and recovery, including plane captain activities
* Assembles, disassembles, and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
* Oversees assembly, disassembly, or overhaul.
* Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
* Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
* Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
* Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
* Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight-worthiness requirements.
* Oversees training.
* Works under general direction.
* Prioritizes quality, product, and people safety
* Working on ejection seats on the F-18 aircraft.
* Working with the team, repairs, installs, and performs inspections of seat mechanics and systems.
