HQ Aero is currently recruiting for QUALITY INSPECTORS in BRIDGEPORT, WV

Responsibilities:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be required to:
  • Locate, identify, document, and report defects and discrepancies in aircraft structures, components, and systems.
  • Inspect to approve or reject final work to verify that all maintenance and repair activities conform to specified requirements.
  • Perform inspections of incoming parts and materials to ensure airworthiness. Perform RII inspections as authorized.
  • Perform aircraft airworthiness releases as authorized. Prepare and sign customer orders/maintenance releases for the Repair Station.
  • Perform walk around inspection of aircraft for release from maintenance.
  • Perform return to service process and ensure assigned aircraft meets all airworthiness requirements prior to return to service.
  • Provide data to customers as requested.
  • Document all repairs in accordance with FAA, customer, and company requirements.
  • Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
  • Must have an A&P license.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing aircraft inspections under FAR 145, 121, 135 or Military experience on commercial / military aircraft.
  • Experience on a regional jet (CRJ, Embraer) preferred but not a requirement.
  • Previous quality experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft part fabrication process, special tooling and machinery used in detail inspection.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.
  • Ability to calculate tolerances using specialty / calibrated measuring devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
  • Ability to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments and special tooling.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
  • Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
Job Type:
  • Full-time, Contract
  • Regular shift is 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off. 12-hour shifts (1st 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM 2nd 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM). - Candidate must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available.
  • Travel Pay & Longevity Bonus Offered.
Essential Job Functions
  • Thorough knowledge of Repair Station systems, processes, procedures, and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations as applicable.
  • Thorough knowledge of business/commercial aircraft inspection programs including but not limited to final closeout procedures, engine installations and hidden damage inspection.
  • Thorough knowledge of business/commercial aircraft maintenance, preventative maintenance, rebuilding, and alteration practices as related to inspection buy-off.
  • Skill to measure using a variety of precision measuring devices.
  • Skill to use basic hand tools necessary to perform job.
  • Skill to interpret and operate inspection/test equipment applicable to the job.
  • Ability to train employees in the performance of duties in area(s) of qualification.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task. 
  • Must be computer proficient.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 135 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
