We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The role involves inspecting and ensuring compliance of Outside Vendor (OSV) parts, purchased parts, assemblies, and raw materials with required specifications. The position primarily supports the Production Department on the floor during the first shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect Outside Vendor (OSV) parts for compliance with required processes, certifications, and paperwork, documenting and reporting discrepancies.
• Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices.
• Perform in-process inspections and report on discrepancies as per documented requirements.
• Prepare Inspection Discrepancy Reports (IDR) and input data into the QA database.
• Conduct source inspections upon customer requests and complete all associated documentation.
• Compare completed products with parts lists, drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure product meets customer expectations.
• Perform first article inspections and complete all associated documentation.
• Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
• Prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference in subsequent inspections using data from blueprints and customer specifications.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions.

• High School diploma or GED; or completed apprenticeship from an accredited trade school.
• Aerospace experience required.
• 2-5 years of demonstrated experience for Level 2 Quality Inspector; 5 or more years for Level 3 Quality Inspector.
• Minimum of five years experience in dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5) of aerospace products preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret work instructions, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

• NADCAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Work Environment

The position works primarily in the Production Department on the floor during the first shift, Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime is possible but not guaranteed. The role involves using precision measuring instruments and devices in a dynamic aerospace industry environment.
