Kalitta Charters II is looking for qualified Mechanics to accompany our aircraft, as a Ride-On Mechanic. The Ride-On Mechanic travels with an aircraft and is responsible for providing line maintenance and technical support for the aircraft to which he or she is assigned. If you like variety, travel and being part of a great team, being a Ride-On Mechanic may be right for you. This position is full time and the schedule is two weeks on two weeks off.
*Conducts Terminating Service maintenance checks on B727, B737 and Service checks on DC-9 aircraft * Maintain contact with Maintenance Control regarding the aircraft condition
*Accomplish all required servicing of the aircraft
*Troubleshoot and repair defects and complete all return to service paperwork as well as signing for work accomplished and Airworthiness Releases.
* Forward copies of repair information to Maintenance Control as work is completed. Send original paperwork to Aircraft Records on a daily basis.
* Maintain current inventory of flyaway kits, including serviceable parts, unserviceable parts, shelf life items and tools. Coordinate the return of parts.
* The Ride-On Mechanic will install engine plugs, Pitot/Static covers and turn the aircraft oxygen bottle off after maintenance or termination of flight and a log book entry. The Ride On Mechanic will clear the log book entry before flight and fax the log page or pages to Maintenance Control in YIP
