Sheet Metal Mechanic &8211; Central Point, OR

Overview:
This temporary position performs maintenance and manufacturing tasks to aircraft, aircraft parts and components in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Company requirements. Complies with all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures as a team player. Willing and able to work long hours and travel as required to meet company requirements. Provide support to internal and external customers to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

&8226; Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, and assembly of aircraft and aircraft parts, components and wiring. Documenting work per company, customer and regulatory requirements.
&8226; Install aircraft parts and components to aircraft at the fixed base of operations (FBO) and in the field environment.
&8226; Read, interpret, and comply with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Specifications.
&8226; Work in a team environment and follow the Companys Guiding Principles.
&8226; Achieve and maintain task qualifications for all work performed.
&8226; Perform housekeeping and other organizational requirements.
&8226; Troubleshoot and correct aircraft part and component discrepancies during normal work and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
&8226; Perform administrative duties e.g. Time entry, DAX, Training classes, create, revise and use department documents, etc.) As required by the Company and department requirements.
&8226; Order, receive and return parts in accordance with company policies
&8226; Travel as required to meet company and customer requirements.
&8226; Perform Lean, Standard Work and Continuous Process Improvements.
&8226; Mentor, train and coach new employees when qualified as a mentor or trainer.
&8226; Perform duties of an Inspector if task qualified. Percentage of time required is different for different Inspectors based on the quantity of areas employee is task qualified to inspect and work load in department.

Job Requirements:

&8226; EAC, FAA and Customer requirements and regulations to perform maintenance and manufacturing of aircraft and aircraft parts and components
&8226; Performing disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, and assembly of aircraft and aircraft parts, components.
&8226; Documenting work per company, customer and regulatory requirements.
&8226; Install electrical/avionic parts and components to aircraft at the fixed base of operations and in the field environment.
&8226; Read, interpret, and comply with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Specifications.
&8226; Troubleshoot and correct aircraft part and component discrepancies during normal work and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations
&8226; Achieve and maintain task qualifications for all work performed
&8226; Use tools, equipment, manuals, drawings and specifications to perform aircraft maintenance and manufacturing
&8226; 4-9 years in aircraft maintenance and manufacturing
&8226; Desired - Airframe and/or Powerplant license, FCC license.
&8226; Required - High School Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver&8217;s license
&8226; Must be able to communicate verbally in an accurately and professionally way. Written documents must be clear and concise
&8226; Responsible for the care of precision measuring equipment, tools and test equipment and benches.
&8226; Care of Proprietary data and its use.
&8226; Work 40 or more hours per week as directed (overtime, weekends, etc.) Travel domestically and internationally as directed. Drive company vehicles or rental vehicles as directed. Work with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks.
