Job Description:

A long-term helicopter modernization program is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to support structural repairs, fabrication, and modifications on UH-60 aircraft. This role offers steady Monday through Thursday scheduling, weekly pay, and long-term project stability.

Position Overview

This role focuses on structural maintenance, fabrication, fitting, and installation of sheet metal components for UH-60 aircraft. Ideal for technicians with recent rotary-wing structural experience who want a stable position supporting active production and aircraft refurbishment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled structural maintenance on UH-60 aircraft
  • Inspect, repair, and replace sheet metal components and assemblies
  • Fabricate, form, and install new sheet metal parts
  • Conduct structural repairs and modifications in accordance with manuals and engineering drawings
  • Ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards
  • Work with other technicians and engineering staff to troubleshoot structural issues
  • Document all inspections, repairs, and modifications accurately
  • Maintain proper tool control and workspace organization
Job Requirements:
  • Eight to ten years of sheet metal experience
  • UH-60 or CH-47 sheet metal structures experience required
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Strong skills in cutting, bending, forming, fitting, drilling, and fastening aircraft-grade metals
  • Familiarity with approved structural repair processes and materials
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in aircraft structural work
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Must meet all program compliance requirements, including background checks and standard testing
  • Must be a US citizen with a valid US driver’s license
  • Must have basic tools or obtain them within the first two weeks

Pay and Schedule

  • Hourly pay based on experience
  • Time-and-a-half overtime
  • Weekly pay after the first week
  • Split per diem available for those who qualify
  • First shift, Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM
  • Overtime available as required
