Our client, a distinguished name in the aviation repair and maintenance industry, is on the hunt for a skilled Sheetmetal Mechanic to join their dynamic team in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Responsibilities:
Execute all assignments in compliance with company and manufacturer manuals and Federal Air Regulations.
Sign off and take accountability for all completed work per the Repair Station Manual (RSM).
Maintain standard and metric aircraft quality tools specific to your assigned shop or floor area.
Operate company tools, parts, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Provide detailed progress reports to ensure smooth shift handovers.
Stay up to date with manuals, policies, and company conduct standards.
Identify and address potential safety risks proactively.
Keep the workspace and equipment clean, safe, and organized.
Report major maintenance discrepancies or emergencies promptly to the Shop Lead or designated personnel.
Perform additional assigned duties with professionalism and accuracy.
Requirements:
Proficient in MS Office Suite and web-based programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Willing to work overtime as needed.
Previous training or experience with company-specific airframes preferred.
Detail-oriented, quick learner, and proactive self-starter.
3–5 years of sheet metal experience required.
